Hi all,

Looks like this is the closest I've got to my question - can I run Enigma-TV under Linux?

What I've done:
Downloaded and installed Enigma-TV on a Windows 7 PC, ran it once to check everything was working, install licence etc., then copy the install directory (nice and easy path: 'C:/EnigmaTV') onto my Linux PC (Linuxmint 64bit on an Acer P253-E laptop).

Then I tried running it under WINE and got an immediate error (see attached).

My next step will be to setup a VM from which I'm guessing it will run fine...I'll let you know.

I've attached the backtrace text foir the error if anyone is interested.

Great work Sébastien - very impressed with the Android app!

EDIT: Won't allow a .txt file to be attached, so I zipped it...

Attach file:

The Android client apps sound very interesting - I spend a lot of time travelling with work and being able to stream from home to my Nexus tablet/HTC One X phone would be awesome.

I understand the app is in beta, but are there any screenshots or videos we can look at until it's release to us?

So, having got the success with the administrator account, I decided to make a new account on the PC called 'test' as administrator account.

Logged into that account and installed Enigma TV, set it all up and entered my registration info and the webserver started fine.

So...back into my everyday account, uninstalled Enigma TV and reinstalled - everything works fine.

Somewhere along the line between the last time I streamed (about April?) and now, Windows must have updated something and killed the app's permissions I guess...

Anyway, all is good now - thanks for your help Sébastien :)

Ok, so I logged into the Administrator account and launched the app from there - no problems, webserver started fine.

So basically, I need the app to launch with full administrator privileges under my account (which IS an administrator account...)

Mongoose starts directly when launched from the folder.

Can't figure out how to run EnigmaTV as administrator - right clicking the shortcut doesn't give that option, and there's no .exe in the folder to launch...

After running Mongoose directly and launching Enigmas as usual, there's no change - still orange.

Hi,

So, all my settings are as you suggest (see screenshots)

Is there an issue with the Netgear router that you know of? I've tried changing th eports but to no avail - the webserver 'light' never goes green, only amber...

Running Windows 7 Ultimate, and have tried with firewall on and off...
