BSOD

Over the number of years that I have been using enigma I have had a few small BSOD.

When this happens Enigma is running in the background (i have not had any BSOD with no enigma).
Strangely though when this happens I am forced to re register Enigma and then everything is ok again.
Glad to say this is a very rare occurrence but wonder is the Re register / BSOD related and if so in what way.

Running 64 windows 7 ultimate/ 8GB ram/ 1 TB HD

HI Sebastien,
I have tried the suggested settings and still the same.
When I set up the Enigma months ago I used all default settings and it was perfect.

I still use all the default settings and the picture is blurred (Pixelated).
Audio is fine
My upload speed is 2.6M and in the past this is great
Attached is a screenshot showing no clarity

blurring text when abroad

HI there,

I note that when viewing enigma on an Ipad or on a desktop while abroad the writing on the screen is not clear.

This is something that has happened recently. Picture was perfect.

If I log on at home everything local (public stream) is perfect. It is only when the service is transmitted abroad via enigma.

I also have another ipad app that accesses the STB directly and it is perfect over the the same ip address.

I therefore think it is something within enigma. I have uninstalled and downloaded the latest from the enigma site today but it is still the same.

Can you advise in any way please.

Thanks

simple channel list

I have reset my VU+ to a static satelitte 28.2

My problem is that when I look at the channel settings in enigma I get under provider a favourites heading and a load of (German) channel; no astra channels.
This is because the favourites within the epg is showing these which I do not want.

How can I load Enigma with a simple channel list from AStra (which are there in the VU).

Hi Sebastien
"Oh what a long description and analyze "
Absolutely,
This is what the problem of mankind is - we make it difficult for ourselves when we should have listened to others.

Hopefully I demonstrated that, Next time I listen / watch / read the developers instructions.
Great program. Very pleased.
Regards

Simple but true

Hi Sebastien and all.

I am a newbie to playing with Satellite Receivers and have realised that it is not as obvious and as structured as we would like.

When I see some advert the wording usually advises the purpose behind the product. When you get the manual there is usually a statement of purpose and technical details to help install. So when I set about looking to stream my Satellite via the internet I thought it would be simple. It was not and so I thought I would share my experience with you all as I see that with in the help section there is confusion re where Enigma TV should be installed and used etc.

Browsing various forums (not just here) there is an assumption that everyone knows what they are doing but inreality we are all learning and experimenting.

Naturally having got my lan access up to my box I wanted to progress to internet and so purchased Enigma Tv.
Silly but I actually installed it on my laptop when away from home and following the instruction configured it for my lan and it worked.

I had difficulty changing channels and started to use the help forum where i saw a few lengthy emails about understanding the purpose of Enigma Tv.

In one of the emails Sebastien advised users to watch the videos.
Voilla!! it is obvious, Enigma is meant to be set up on a computer that need to be online all the time if you wish to access it 24/7 and then you access your IP via internet explorer etc.

Once I did that there were no issues with Enigma Tv.

The morale of the post is :-
Watch the videos.

I appreciate I am a numpty but I can't be the only one
