Hi Sebastien.

With your help I finally have it up and running. Thank you.

I do understand networking, but I have not had to port forward before.

The ports I used were taken from your you tube help video. The reason for doing it both ways was because it didn't work one way. Perhaps you should change your video?

Anyway ,it is up and running. Thanks for your support and patience.

Kind Regards
RSB

Hi,

Your router settings are wrong ...
Do you have some network knowledge or not ?

In Enigma-TV you have set the web port at 80 for public and 80 also for local, then for stream you set 8080 for public and 8080 for local. That's ok.

Now in your router, you have set 2 redirections rules :
1 for the web and anotherone for the stream, that's also ok.
BUT, the ports assigned are completelly wrong.
So :
For the rule 'WEB' you will only set 1 redirection that will be 80-80 to 80-80 in TCP mode
For the rule 'STREAM' you will only set 1 redirection taht will be 8080-8080 to 8080-8080 in TCP mode

Then (as I find your router options very strange, not really standard) I hope it will work by calling the web media player from outside using http://YourPublicIP:80

Best regards,

Hi,

If you can't stream externally then there is a problem regarding port forwarding ...
Please post your router settings AND the Enigma-TV settings.
Just take some snapshots and post them here.

Then I can see what the problem is and help you.

Best regards,

Thanks Sebastien

I have purchased the licence. But I can stream over my LAN but not externally.

I cannot get Enigma TV to stream (LAN or Externally) with the Ports used in your youtube help. It works over LAN with 8080 and 80.

I have checked the ports have been forwarded on both my router and Kaspersky. I have even tried it with the firewall for both off and still no luck.

Sorry to be a pain!

Regards
RSB

Hi RSB,

Cool, the tool works now !
Ok, you don't need to have your WebIf trought the Internet, what you need is to redirect the Enigma-TV web & stream ports ... in other words you have to redirect the 'public' web port and the stream port to your 'local' PC IP address.
Then from the outside you will access the web interface from Enigma-TV (not the WebIf from your Dreambox !!!)

Best regards,

Thank you Sebastien

There is something very odd going on.

I couldn't even connect to my Dreambox from my PC (webif, ftp, etc), so I reset my Dreambox and PC.

They are both on the same network.

Now I can now get the streaming on the Enigma TV app and through network (Yay).

I can also connect to my webif over the internet, but cannot stream.

Regards

Hi,

The PC is on the same network than the Dreambox ?
In other words, does the PC have the same IP range than the Dreambox ?

Tell me both IPs ...
What you say is really strange and looks to me to be a network setup issue.

I will try to help you fixing this but please give me all details.

Thx

Hi Sebastien

The Dyndns address is the only way to get webif working. 192.168.1.xxx doesnt work.

The PC is on the network.

I have updated my image to Newenigma2 and still no luck :(
