multi user view would be very nice. view the same stream is an option too. so the second client can not switch channel, but can view the stream. is this an option?
I understand ... But as you said not a lot of users would require this option ... But by starting a direct stream from the server app, you will get a standard link that would never change... Can that be good for your case maybe ?
Probably not worth all the trouble as you have created a fantastic tool already and others may not even use multi user login for additional turners. I never explained the reason for wanting mms in the first place. sometime http streams can become pixelated (if that is a word) and by quickly turning the channel over and back again 9 time out of 10 fixes this. However when using a media player (more than one user) switching channels so no need to paste new link would be great as MMS stream which is constant does not break whilst switching channels. So knowing MMS is not an option, I kind of thought out loud and didn't explain. I sometimes have two users so multiple user option may come in handy and do away with separate media player altogether:)
The stream 'ID' is just there to protect from hackers. As the ID change on each channel switch, it is more difficult to take over the stream ... MMS is somethin not used a lot ... I preferred taking FLV and http live streaming as those are the most used stream type, working with Android and iOS devices.
be great to have mms capabilities especially for those that take the stream URL from the "streaming in process" section and use in a media player. Resulting in not having to enter a new stream ID after changing channel.
