Salut,

Hello,

The new Enigma-TV Server 2.0.0.7 will be ready soon for beta testing phase.

Let me know if you are interrested to participate.

Some conditions are required:
- You need to have a fluant english
- You are really willing to make a maximum of tests, at least all items that I will ask you to test.
- You will need to buy some hardware : this new Enigma-TV Server introduce a way to control any device by using a IR circuit and capture the video from a USB analogic capure device. Total cost is about 27$. More detail to come here after.

Introduction to this new Enigma-TV Server 2.0.0.7 version
As of today, people needed to have Enigma1 or Enigma2 set top boxes to use the Enigma-TV Server but this is no more the case with this new version: Enigma-TV Server can now handle ANY device!

-> To control the receiver, Enigma-TV will act as a real remote control by using a small IR circuit.
This is the IRToyV2 that you can for now buy on this web site:
https://www.seeedstudio.com/USB-Infrared-Toy-v2-p-831.html

-> To grab the audio/video from the receiver, Enigma-TV will use DirectShow and a simple USB EasyCap capure device.
You can buy it for now on this web site:

Some details about the new Interface

-> New starting splash where you can see the IR circuit and the USB capture devices:

-> Providers are sorted by type:
DS = DirectShow channels controlled by the IR & USB video capture devices
IPTV = IPTV channels
E1 or E2 = channels from Enigma1 or Enigma2 set top boxes (Dreambox, Vu+, etc ...)
Click to see original Image in a new window

-> IPTV settings tab
From this tab, you can import IPTV m3u lists.
You can as well set some PICON images on each channels
Finally you can define the streaming timeout

-> DirectShow and IR settings tab
This is probably the most interresting functionnality added to this version of Enigma-TV Server.

From this tab, you can select your DirectShow video device and set its video resolution and as well the audio input.

There are also settings for FFMPEG as this tool is used to create a local stream from the USB capture device video/audio input.
VLC will then take the FFMPEG local stream to play it in the Enigma-TV application or re-stream it over the Network/Internet!

WinLIRC is a tool used to handle the IR Remote Control functionnality by using the IRToyV2 circuit.
I made the choice of this particular device because it can learn some Remote Control codes (so the user will be able to create its own remote controls!!!) and then Enigma-TV Server will use those codes in sequences to switch the receiver to the selected channel.
People can then send us their Remote Control WinLIRC settings and we can publish them within the Enigma-TV Server tool to share to all users

PICON images can as well been assigned to each DirectShow channel.

Conclusion
As you can imagine, all this functions (Enigma STB's / IPTV's and DirectShow providers) can as well be controlled from any Enigma-TV Client application
The combination of a physical USB capture device + DirectShow will really help to reduce CPU load when transcoding HD channels because the default resolution of the USB capture device is 720p (we don't need more on small tablets or phones).
We are as well organizing a way to get the IR & USB capture devices from a central shop, all will be displayed in a new coming section on this web site.
I'm looking forward to get some beta testers and we will work together to finalize this new version and make it very stable.

Thanks!

Sébastien
