Thanks Sebastien,

I am using VIX on an Xtrend. To be honest I don't want to change my image. I am very happy with it.

Enigma-TV worked fine on the same box and image until I upgraded to the latest version of Enigma-TV, so I don't think the image is the problem.

Would you be happy to give me a link to the older version of Enigma-TV to try?

I've not made any progress since my last post. I still can't stream either, internally or externally. I can copy and past channel URL into VLC player and it works fine. Attached is my Enigma-TV spec and router spec.

I am forwarding traffic to my PC (IP ending in .219). What I see in the web page is the login interface. I can log in and get a channel list, but no video. Occasionally, the 'video not found or excess denied' error message.

Updated - cannot play channel in TV Control or stream

Hi there,

I have updated to version 2.0.0.6. I am having a bit of trouble setting up and I wondered if I am doing something foolish.

I have installed, registered and put my STB IP address and account details in etc. I am connected to my STB and can get a channel list. However, I cannot see any video in the TV Control box.

I see this:

and in the top:

"lost video, try to reconnect" over and over.

If I copy and paste the URL into VLC, it opens fine and I can play the channel.

I also cant get streaming working, internal or external. But I will leave that for now and try to get the TV Control to work first.

Is there further information required to diagnose the root cause?

I am grateful for any help you can give.

Yes this is with wireless turned off, using 3G only from my office.

However, I am happy to learn that the iOS app works fine over 3G for me, so I do have a way to watch.

Hi there,

I've only ever been able to get a working video from enigma-tv on my iphone by installing XBMC (via the Zeusmos app signing service) and the Enigma-TV plugin. Never been able to get the web app or the iOS app to work reliably. MyZeusmos subscription has just expired and rather than renew I wanted to have another go at getting the web app to work.

I can get to the web interface fine over the internet, and can see by bouquets and EPG data. I get this error when I try to play video:

"The video could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported: http://192.168.1.219:85/stream....stream_local.m3u8"

Please advise

Hi there,

I have noticed that I cannot play recordings from my Vu+ Duo 1 via the app, XBMC or web interface, over wireless or 3G, on LAN or over internet.

In each case I get an error message 'Video not found or access denied" although the server application says 'streaming in progress' and seems to be happily transcoding and streaming.

Media stored on my server PC streams fine via each platform / network with no problems.

I am running at 200k. I don't think this is an issue wtih the bandwidth since the web app via Safari is using the same limited bandwidth successfully where the app is not successful.

Today I was out and about using XBMC on 3G. For the first few attempts streaming I got a 'URL not available on this server' (or similar) message. I was logged into my PC also via VNC and I could see that the server thought it was successfully streaming to my iPhone. After a few attempts, without changing any settings or position, the stream started working.

I wonder if there is something else unpredictable about the 3G networks. Something other than bandwidth.

Hi there,

New user here.

I've noticed some apparent anomalies with the Enigma TV iOS app and XBMC plugin especially on 3G. I am using:

1. Enigma TV iOS app
2. XBMC plugin on an XBMC install on iOS
3. The web portal via Safari on iOS

With 1 above I can connect to the server and I can see that the server gives a 'streaming in progress' message. However the client app always times out.

With 2 above I can connect to the server and I can see that the server gives a 'streaming in progress' message. The client will stream once but each subsequent stream will produce a 'check streaming port' message until XBMC is restarted.

3 above is the most reliable method on my iPhone with Safari working about 90% of the time on 3G.

A wireless connection (on my LAN or across the internet) produces better results on all platforms.

I see other people have had issues with the iOS app on mobile networks. Is there anything that I can do to resolve this?
