Ok, this is a bit what I was afraid of. In my case "my network" is actually two different locations and are connected only through internet to each others. This causes some limitations in the streaming as the upload speed sometimes affects a bit to the quality that I can get from the digibox. I think I need to change it now so that I'll build a small "streaming pc" to the location where the digibox is and run the enigma tv from there. This way I could then control the upstream traffic better way.
The Enigma-TV Server is directly connected to your Vu+ inside of your network. Then from outside, and after you set up your router to redirect web & stream ports, you can use any client app (like Kodi) to control your multimedia stuff. In the client tools, you can set the video quality before starting a stream. You cannot change the box stream port.
I have a VU+ Duo digibox that I operate through Enigma-TV and eventually to Kodi. The VU+ is located outside our home and it has a fixed IP-address that the Enigma-TV is connected into. I can change the upload speed of the Vu+ over the Open WebIf - but this seems to have no influence to the resolution received by Enigma-TV? I suppose Enigma-TV gets the signal from VU+ from port 8001 unpacked? Can this be changed?
