Did you specify the correct stream port ?
Try to use the HTTP Live Streaming method (instead of Flash), this use the same port than the web to get the channels list ... So this should work.
MXPlayer has nothing to do with this, the app has its own video library and is able to play all what is coming from the server.

Hi everything seems to have gone fine, apart from when I try and get it to work on my android phone, the program selection comes up on my phone screen but the message I get is video file cannot be played, when I press a channel selection, I have the latest version of MXplayer installed on my phone and it happily plays everything else, is there anything I have missed, thanks

Yes, port forwarding is what you should do.
Please watch the help videos on this web site and don't forget to forward the web + the stream ports.

I had to do a pause in my development (had to much on other sides ...) but I will again work on this soon.
The android with MX player is in good shape, just need time to polish a bit.

After doing lots of reading port forwarding seems to be the best option, any news on the new android version with mxplayer?
