on my home network it work great but then again so does anything else I use to stream like dreambox live and blackbox the reason I got this is bewcause it weas supposed to compress rthe stream so I can access it outside my network.
it just is not working for me.
what would be good with this is if the interface had codecs you could choose and have 2 columns one for input auto detected and the other output which you could configure manually and select codec bitrate etc and resolution not just scale and res
it just does not work.
Its not the money you can keep that its the frustration that I cant get it going.
I have forwarded the ports like you advised and followed all your steps to the letter and still no go on 3g or 4g

the picture is cvery pixelated and stalls and the audio can hardly be heard and crackles and cuts out only happening on 3g and 4g. on home network it perfect off course because its on the home network being picked up on wifi for iphone5 and ipad.

Is there anything that I need to additionally install besides just the enigma software.

If it works inside then it do its job.
Have you tried with your local IP & port ?
Use your wifi connection, just to try.
If this works then it means that the problem is related to something else (router, network ?)

still no luck why does picture and everything work on home network and on iphone 5 using 3g and 4g on ipad air it breaksup stutters pixelates being unwatchable and audio cuts in and out every 2 seconds or so
maybe software is not transcoding stream properly.

I have checkmarks in shortcut on desktop
ask confirmation
check vlc version on startup

under video output (enable on nextstartup)

there is a checkmark in drivers auto

what else could it be??

please help me if there is anything that needs to be altered.

Also do I have to do anything under the other tabs up top like in

tv control, media player or Extra ??


also in dreambox 800hd in the web interface options do I need to change anything?

What settings are you using for stream compression ?
Try with 300 kbps video bitrate, scale at 1, 128 kbps audio bitrate, 2 channels.

after installing and setting up the sound is very crackly on my iphone 5 and the the video keeps breaking up and pixelating.
I am running the server on a hp i5 laptop with 8gb ram win7 x64

how can I compress the stream and keep high quality or is there another workaround please.

any help or advice anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.
