keep your doors locked, then port 80 is usually used for configuring the router, port 8080 server for chat and other applications.
try to place 85 to 85 and 8085 to 8085, or you can use other ports.

yes the enigmatv IF is opening ok.

i've just now disabled the windoze firewall so there's now no firewall enabled.

Strange, it should not ...
Is it opening the web interface on the PC where Enigma-TV is installed ?
I don't see the reason why it should not work into your private network, except if you have some special firewall somewhere ?
Please also attach a picture from your Enigma-TV settings when you reply, I would like to see them. (delete your public IP !!!)

Afraid i cant get the mac to access the lappie.
i've started the EnigmaTV IF on the lappie.

i've entered.....http://192.168.0.2 (lappie ip) i've tried port numbers 80 and 8080 and added the extension /index_local.html

so it's entered thus....http://192.168.0.2:8080/index_local.html

all it does on both Chrome and FireFox is set the spinner running.

Ahhh ok now I understand ...
From your MAC, you have to access the Enigma-TV web interface, not to install any thing.
1) You have your PC (lappie) with Enigma-TV installed on it.
2) You activate the Internet Control mode in Enigma-TV on your lappie
3) You access the Enigma-TV WEB INTERFACE on your MAC like : http://Your_PC_IP:Your_PC_Web_Port/index_local.html
3) You can also access this web interface from outside of your network (first setup your router to redirect web & stream ports), that will be with something like : http://Your_ISP_IP:Your_Public_Web_Port/index.html

This procedure can be applied to access the web interface from any device.
From the web interface you will be able to control Enigma-TV the same way you would be on the PC application & stream the video to watch it remotelly.

Basicly all i'm asking is how do i launch Enigmatv on a mac?

As you know i have Enigmatv installed on my lappie, and once it's installed it's launched by double clicking on the Enigmatv icon on the desktop.

But because you tell me that there's no installation needed on my Mac how do i run Enigmatv?

And also because i thought i'd read that to access the program i needed to have Google Chrome installed, but again i guess i'm wrong here as well.

i'm sorry but i just cannot get my head around all this.

You have nothing to install on your MAC.
The Enigma-TV is to install on a PC, then from you MAC you can access the web interface like for an iphone, etc ...
