ma url lo inserisci sul protocollo di rete del vlc ?
apri media, rete (inserisci un url di rete) poi fai riproduci. se ti dà lo stesso errore è la porta 8085 chiusa.

VLC non è in grado di aprire il MRL 'http://x.x.x.x.:8085/stream.flv'. Controlla il registro per i dettagli.

Ho installato questo programma...cambiate le porte come nel video...attivate la porte nel router.
In locale lo stream funziona con l'IP del PC...da remoro VLC da errore...help urgente!!!
