I am having the same problem and look forward to a solution.

In the meantime could you please explain in little more detail how you solved the problem Amyren?

Thank you

There are many guides about this if you use google.

But the short summary on how I did it:

1. Create a new administrator account. (control panel, user account, add new user)

2. Log off your current account

3. Log in to the newly created account

4. Go to user management again, and change the user name of your own account. Choose a name without any special characters.

5. Then open file manager and locate your user folder, usually C:\Users"your name" and change the name of your folder to the same as the new name you did choose for your account.

6. Open Regedit. Go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList\
Below that structure there will be a few more "folders" named something like S-1-5-x etc.
Choose the one that is for your account. You will se your account name on the right side, at the ProfileImagePath
Right-click on ProfileImagePath and choose Modify.
Change the path to match the change you did for your user folder.

Thats it, log out, and log into your account again. Hopefully everything should be working now.
If all is ok, you can delete the admin account your created earlier.

When I wrote the "Web Media Player", I was refering to the windows application downloaded from your website.
It was that program that doesnt have a logoff button, and sometimes the dreambox stays in streaming mode after quitting the application.

Quitting Enigma TV Web Media Player

I noticed sometimes after playing a stream, and then quitting the Web Media Player, the Dreambox is still in "streaming mode". Then the user can not change channels with the remote, as the channel is locked, just as it is when recording.
I also noticed this when playing from the web browser and then just close the window without logging off.
Then I had to reopen the window and press the logoff button.
But the Web Media Player program doesnt have a loggoff button.
Is it possible to add a logoff button. Or preferable a way to autologoff when the streaming client quits, so that the dreambox gets out of "streaming mode"?

Also, I'd like to ask for another feature to be added if possible.
It would be nice to know the status of the dreambox before swapping channels. So if it is possible to see if the box is in standby or on, and what channel its currently tuned into. Then you know if someone is actively using the box before you start taking over remotely.

Enigma-TV gets installed into the C:\users\my_user folder
If your user name contain non-internet valid characters, like norwegian æ, ø, å you will be unable to log in via the client. The android client will simply refuse to connect, but if you try to log in via the webinterface you will get an error message that c:\users\my_user\enigma-tv/index.php is not found. You will then discover that the writter username here is a bit different from the actual one.

I had to rename my user name and folder name, and some regedit settings before I could get Enigma-TV to work on my win8 pc because of this.

I think this could be solved by letting the user choose the path for installing Enigma-TV. Or change the default install path to something other than the user folders.
