all of the strange goings on were due to my server not being powerfull enough to drive the streaming, it is a micro proliant dualcore aton with ATI card,

this is fine for 1080p playback on xmbc but guessing transcoding is more CPU dependant..


i have stuck this on a higher spec server and now working fine :)

Have you changed the stream port to 8001 ?
Be sure that your router is properly set and that it makes his job !
There is no issue with Enigma-TV, the problem come from the router or the settings wrongly applied.

Set 90 for the web port and 8080 for the stream port.
In your router set ranges (check your manual), that means for example 90-90 to IP 192.168.1.100 and 8080-8080 to IP 192.168.1.100

I hope you will get it working, keep in mind that my tool works ok if the router makes its job.

Sure this can't work like this ...
First, your router want a port range, you need to specify something like 90-91 .. and not one line for 90, another for 91, etc ...
But I think this will not solve the issue.

What I would do is to set in Enigma-TV the same ports for local and public :
90 for both local and public web ports
8080 for both local and public stream ports

Then, in your router, you will define only 2 rules :
port range = 90 -> IP 192.168.1.100
port range = 8080 -> IP 192.168.1.100

Then I think it will work.

Ok i will try to show you my settings :

On your iOS device, are you using the Web Media Player or the dedicated iOS app ?
Have you set up the iOS deice to connect to the Enigma-TV Server ?
Have you watched the help video that explain how to set up the iOS device ?

Please post some screenshots here from the Enigma-TV Server settings and also what you set in your iOS device.

hello been having difficulty, now i work in IT and im familier with port forwarding ect,

i have the program working perfectly on computers i had a little difficlty with external port, i have set this now the same as public and it works externally VIA webbrowser..

however now on my Iphone 5c and ipad 3 on ios7 it connect to the STB but when playign video it trys to play and either closes or times out,

any ideas ? no firewalls are on, portforwarding set and wortking in web browser but IOS app not.
