Hi Sébastien,

Thank you, the issue was because I was connected to the same network via wifi. Once wifi was switched off i am able to connect to the Enigma TV server and view channels.

Thank you very much for your prompt attention and I will certainly be posting on Play Store excellent feedback.

Hello,

Yes, you can access the Web Media Player by just opening a webbrowser.
Then call it like http://PublicIP:PublicWebPort
You will in this case need to have flash installed on your Android device.

But that doesn't explain why the Android app doen't connect to the server ...
Do you have your Android device on wifi in then the same network than your PC ?
If yes, try to connect with 3G ... And then redoo the test.
You can also maybe do a test in wifi by giving your local ip and port ...

Hi Sébastien,

Yes I have set up the port forwarding on both the web and stream ports (as it works when I use the external IP addressing on a laptop).

I cant get the providers/channel list on the android phone as the error comes up as soon as I click "apply" and i'm then stuck and the settings page.

I've dropped the bit rate for both audio and video and still get the same error, is there any other way of accessing it on an android phone without having to use the client?

Hi,

OK all seems OK regarding the server setings and the Android settings ...
I suppose you have also set up your router to redirect the web & stream ports (as you have been able to get a stream out on the Internet) correct ?
You are also able to get the providers/channels list onthe Android device ? (in other terms, it connects to the server right ?)
I would suggest to make the video bitrate down to 300 kbps and the audio to 96 kbps for testing.
Try this and tell me.

Here is a screen shot for the Enigma server setting.

The android client settings are as follows

server url - PUBLIC IP ADDRESS
Web port - 80
Stream Port - 8080
Password - *******
Stream Type - Flash Stream
Video Quality - High
Video Bit Rate - 1000
Video Scale - .5
Audio Bitrate - 128
Audio Channels - 2

Please post the settings of Enigma-TV server here (hide your public IP).
Also post the settings you put into the Android app.
Then I can check and help you.

Hi,

I'm running Enigma TV on a Samsung Galaxy running Android 4.3. I can get a stream over the internet on my laptop as I've setup the port forwarding but when I try to connect on my mobile I get the error "Connection Failed! The connection to the server has failed, please check the settings". I have watched the YouTube help videos and i'm sure that I have set up everything correctly, the server running on my laptop is running in "Mobile" profile.

Can you please offer some help?
