Hi,
I have mostly sorted the problem now
I have a cable modem/router. My network router plugs into that.

I have changed the settings on the cable modem to be just a modem and not both. (default settings) and it now works connects straight away on both the local and public interfaces

Getting there....
Many thanks for your help and time

Peter

Ok, so we know the issue is on rhe router.
But it can also come from your dsl privider blocking ports ... Try the web port on 80 ... So change 85 to 80 everywhere.

If that still doen't work then you have to try another router.

Besr regards,

Hi,

All the settings looks good to me.

You should be able to connect using :
http://192.168.1.100:85 ... That is for sure true as you said that local connection works, good.

Then you should also be able to connect using your public IP :
http://80.195.2.41:85 ... If this doesn't work then those things could be :
- the public IP has changed, to check then press the 'IP Internet' button
- your router doesn't do the job, here try to reboot it and recheck. If it still doesn't work then try to redirect the webif of your Dreambox and see if you can access it from outside.
- sometimes routers do not like accessing a device in your network using a public IP while you are inside of your network ! Check the access from a 3g connection to be sure.

Best regards,

Hi,

If it works inside (local IP) then it should work from outside, otherwise your router settings are wrong.

So, based on what I told you, please post again the 'single port forwarding' screen of your router + the Enigma-TV settings so I can see exactly what you do.
Also tell me the http address that you call to get the web interface from outside (just to see if you use the correct parameters).

Best regards,

Hi,
The local web interface works fine.
The public web interface does not work.

I have disabled the firewall.

I get Internet Explorer cannot display the web page

•Internet connectivity has been lost.
•The website is temporarily unavailable.
•The Domain Name Server (DNS) is not reachable.
•The Domain Name Server (DNS) does not have a listing for the website's domain.
•There might be a typing error in the address.
•If this is an HTTPS (secure) address, click Tools, click Internet Options, click Advanced, and check to be sure the SSL and TLS protocols are enabled under the security section.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi,

You need to use the 'single port forwarding' screen (picture 2)
There you will setup 2 rules :

External Port : 85
Internal Port : 85
Protocol : TCP
To IP Address : the IP of your computer where Enigma-TV is installed.
Enabled : checked

External Port : 8085
Internal Port : 8085
Protocol : TCP
To IP Address : the IP of your computer where Enigma-TV is installed.
Enabled : checked

Then in Enigma-TV you will setup the web ports (local and public) to 85 ... and the stream ports (local and public) to 8085.

Best regards,
